BBP TRAINING - IN PERSON
I’m hosting an in-person Bloodborne Pathogen training for tattooing; covering set-up and breakdown of a tattoo station and how to properly dispose of biohazardous material. While this in-person training will not legally certify you, I’d like to also fund the $19.95 cost per person of taking this online course which will legally meet the OSHA requirements for BBP certification, and certify you as an artist in the state of Illinois. The course takes about 3 hours to complete online. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS ONLINE TRAINING BEFORE THE IN-PERSON WORKSHOP.
Including myself, there will be 8 people present; 1 instructor (me), 7 attendees. Masks are required to enter the studio, and we will do our best to maintain distance during this training. There are gloves, hand-sanitizer, and disposable masks available throughout the studio. We are street-level with an accessible bathroom. The training will be taught in English at Time Being Tattoo: 2409 W Hirsch Street Chicago IL 60622.

-Aseptic techniques for set-up and break-down
-Materials used for tattoo set-up
-Sanitizing liquids and uses
-Hazardous waste and safe sharps disposal
-Potential hazards and risks while tattooing
-Emergency control plans
